Workplace Strategy & Design Guidelines

Global Atlantic Financial Group (GAFG) is a insurance, re-insurance, and investment company that spun off from Goldman Sachs in 2013 and was acquired by KKR in 2020. When they formed, Ark - then HLW’s Strategy & Discovery group - worked with its leaders to develop a comprehensive set of workplace guidelines that reflects the company’s culture and brand while simplifying the process of integrating new people and new space into the GAFG organization. Through engagements with end users and leadership, data analysis, and benchmarking, our team developed a streamlined approach to design delivery for GAFG locations spanning New York, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford and Indy.

Return to Office & Future Mobility Planning

In the spring of 2020, we rekindled our relationship with GAFG to strategize their Return to Office plan during COVID and create a long term Mobility Plan for their population moving forward. As part of this effort, we worked with their in-house team to develop surveys, synthesize findings, present to leadership, and communicate to the population. We also developed signage for the office, sharing new protocols and best practices.
